ITALIAN MEATS
While everyone has had a meatball or a chicken breast, the best part of Italian meat to discover will be found in your deli section. Salami and pepperoni are the most widely accessible in the U.S. In fact, the general term for meatstuffs in Italian is salumi. See the connection? Neat, huh? But things start getting really interesting when you try other kinds like prosciutto, capicolla, mortadella, pancetta, or sopressata. These tend to have as much character as salami, but in differing directions. They are also great to lay out with cheese and bread and olive oil as an appetizer course or for party food.
