GREEK BREAD
All Greek meals start with bread, olives, and wine. Let's break bread down first. There are as many kinds of Greek bread as there are stars in the sky. Pita bread is most common to Americans, and there's wheat breads and white breads and any other kind of bread you can think of. The Greek word for bread is Psomi. Every town in Greece will have their own signature bread, and there are breads for every holiday imaginable. Some breads are very hard and crusty, while others are more like cake. So, short of getting a PhD in Greek bread, let's stick to pita or whatever is available at your local bakery or grocery store.
