ENTERTAINING AT HOME IN GREECE
A long-standing belief in Greek history holds that strangers could be a god in disguise. Consequently, Greeks treat strangers in a very kind and congenial manner and have become known for their warm and welcoming hospitality. Often times, Greek homes are opened to friends and family to gather and share home-cooked meals.

Traditionally, lunch was considered the main meal of the day and eaten around 2:00 p.m. Today, Greece has adapted to a more Western lifestyle and lunch is eaten at 12:00 p.m.
